The Spaulding Slip-In Asphalt Hot Box Patchers are designed for efficient asphalt maintenance across the Midwest and MN. Available in 2, 4, 6, and 8 ton capacities, these heavy-duty patchers offer a fully insulated, triple-wall constructed hopper for optimal heat retention and product quality. An automatic temperature control system ensures consistent material temperatures, while the diesel or propane fuel source delivers a minimum of 105,000 BTUs for reliable heating power on the jobsite.
Standard features include a durable ¼” steel hopper floor, hydraulic powered rear and bi-fold top doors (on 4 ton and larger models), and curbside-located controls for improved operator safety and access. Hydraulic connections operate directly from the truck, simplifying setup and reducing downtime. The hopper’s robust construction, including continuous welds and 10 gauge capping, resists warping and maintains structural integrity even in harsh Midwest working conditions. Paint is applied over a sandblasted surface with epoxy primer and urethane finish for long-lasting durability. Multiple options for belt or auger drive hoppers and standing legs allow customization for your specific municipal or street maintenance fleet needs.
